Iris Play is a desktop reference player offering frame accurate media playback, SDI output support, Dolby format decoding, and annotation tools for review workflows.

Iris Anywhere Play is a cloud-based or virtually-deployed reference player offering frame accurate media playback via browser, supporting a wide range of formats and validation tools.

It is designed for reference playback and validation, not full technical QC.
However, it supports the import of all the major automated QC platforms: Interra Baton, Venera Pulsar, Tektronix Aurora, Telestream Vidchecker, Telestream Cloud.

What organizations typically use Iris Play?
Studios, networks, distributors, post-houses and content creators that need reference asset playback and validation but don’t need the full measurement and scopes found in Iris QC Pro.

Installation Requirements

What are the desktop requirements for Iris Play?

• 32 CPU threads
• Base CPU frequency of 2.8GHz. Turbo boost frequency 3.6GHz
• DDR3 @1600MHz or faster
• 32GB of RAM minimum (64GB RAM preferred)
• DirectX10 PCI-e v2.0 x16 graphics card minimum
• AJA Kona 4/5, Blackmagic Design DeckLink/12G,
  Bluefish444 Supernova/Neutron/Kronos SDI cards are supported
• Windows 11 Pro x64

Does it require any software installation?
Yes. Iris Play can be installed directly on a workstation with a license or the license and login can be administered by the free iris Admin Server software allowing floating licenses, SOO and Projec & collaboration features.

Pricing and Subscription

What does the Iris Admin Server software included with subscriptions support?
It centrally manages floating licenses, user accounts and secure logins, environmental profiles, and collaborative project access.

What pricing models are available?
Iris Play is offered via subscription with usage-based tiers and enterprise bundles.

Is pricing volume-dependent?
Yes. Large deployments with high playback throughput or concurrent users can qualify for discounted enterprise packages.

Does Iris Play support IMF, DCP or frame sequence playback?
Iris Play supports only standard IMF packages and does not support DCP or frame sequences, however all of these are supported in Iris QC Pro.
